Ellipses
- In this video, you'll draw ellipses and elliptical arcs. The term ellipse refers to an oval shape. Open the Ellipse sample file from the Chapter 04 folder. This file contains two lines and two point objects. Incidentally, you can create point objects with the point command, just type p + o , enter and click a point to create a point. There are no options, it's very simple command, makes a placeholder that remains as a single pixel. No matter how much you zoom in on it, it doesn't get any bigger. I'll use these two points up here so that you can snap ellipses to them. I'm going to delete this new point object by selecting it and pressing the delete key. Let's type in ellipse. I type e + l + l and autocomplete does the rest. I'll press enter and now the command prompt says "Specify axis endpoint." An ellipse is defined by two cross axes.
