Editing xrefs in place

- In this video you'll see how you can edit an Xref in place, that is from within the single drawing file. Open Architectural2.dwg from the Editing Xrefs sub-folder of Chapter 14. Down here on the status bar you'll see this orange icon that says manage Xrefs. Click on it and you'll see the external references palette. Here we see that the furniture file is loaded as an overlay. That's this information here, it contains all of the furniture. I'll press escape. Let's say I want to move this table over. Obviously I could open the furniture file, move it there, save it, close it, come back to this file and reload the Xref. That's a lot of steps. Alternatively, I could simply double click on this Xref to open up this reference edit dialog box and now click okay. This takes us into this special edit in place mode and it's like we're in the furniture drawing. And it looks like the architectural plan is Xref'd. I can now make a change, say move.
