Editing hatch boundaries
In this video, we will edit an existing hatch pattern. Go ahead and open the architectural sample file in the Chapter 08 folder, and zoom in here. In this lower corner we have a hatch pattern that really should be inside the wall that is spilling out over this cabinet area. Select the hatch pattern itself, and there doesn't seem to be any way to edit it. That's because this hatch pattern is no longer associated with its boundary. Go over here on the boundaries panel and click Recreate. You can create a boundary as a region or a polyline. Let's make it as a polyline, and it says reassociate hatch with new boundary. Yes, type y, enter. Then press escape. Can you see the difference? There's a gray boundary surrounding all the hatch patterns located right here. I can then use this boundary's grip to stretch it down like that. Press escape. We can also use stretch to reconfigure the walls. When we do that, the hatch pattern will automatically update.
