Editing a dimension style

In this video, we will alter a dimension style. I find that the easiest way to do this is in a drawing that already has a bunch of dimension objects, such as this one. Open the Architectural3 sample file in the Chapter 10 folder. Then go to the Annotate tab on the ribbon and right here this lists the current dimension style, which is just called standard. Open this drop down and select Manage Dimension Styles. That opens up the Dimension Style Manager, and it uses the DIM style command to do that. This gives you a preview image of all of the different types of dimension objects and how they would look in this style. Let's go in and modify the style by clicking this button. This opens up a dialogue box that has tabs across the top, and it really contains a lot of information. Let's start by changing the units from architectural to decimal.
