Drawing a title block
- In this video, we will create a Title Block from scratch. Open the Architectural5 sample file. Open up the Layer drop down and set Layer 0 current, reopen it, and turn off layer Z-Viewport to hide the viewport frames. Now we need a Layer for the title block geometry. Go to Layer Properties, make a new Layer and call it Z-Titleblock. And then double click on its icon to set that layer current. Close the manager. And then draw a rectangle, and in this case we can't snap the rectangle to the edge of the paper, that's just not possible. But what we can do is kind of eyeball it, right here in the corner, I'm going to get as close as I can there and click. And then I want this rectangle to match the dimensions of the paper, which I recall are 36 inches by 24 inches high, so I'm going to type in 36, 24, Enter. So now I have a rectangle that is the same size as the sheet of paper, and you can see it there on the border. Let's offset that in a half an inch. So type o + Enter, for offset, and…
