Drawing rectangles

- [Instructor] We're staying in our typical drawing.dwg file and as you can see it's empty now after all the deleting and erasing that we did in the last video. We're gonna have a look now at creating rectangles in our AutoCAD LT drawings. Now rectangles are really useful because they create rectangular polylines. When you draw a rectangle, it's one rectangle. It's not four lines creating a rectangle. It's a polyline that is joined together, the four segments are joined together to form a polyline. Now the Rectangle command can be found on the Draw panel on the Home tab on the ribbon, top right here. Click on the little fly-out and there's the Rectangle command right there. So we click on the Rectangle command and it prompts me for the first corner point of my rectangle. So what I'm gonna do, I'm gonna pick a point down here, sort of bottom left, click once and as I drag upwards to the right, it's prompting me for the other corner point of my rectangle.
