Creating annotative text styles
- In this video, we will create annotative text objects that appear in different scales. Open the Architectural6 sample file in the Chapter 15 folder. Double-click in this viewport and you'll see that the viewport scale is 3/8" = 1'. Double-click in this viewport, and you'll see its scale is 1" = 1' in the real world. So, we have two different graphic scales going in this drawing, 3/8" and 1". Let's make a mental note of that. Let's go over to the Model tab and zoom in on this spiral stair. Let's go into the text style by typing s + t + enter and then double-click on the Annotative style at the top of the list to set that style current. You can see it's annotative because this is checked. Over here, we also need to specify the height of that text. In this case, I want it to appear as 1/4" high, so I'll type in 1/4, press Tab, click Apply, and close. Now I need to go down here and specify the annotative scale.
