Clipping xrefs

In this video you'll see how you can clip an xref to limit the amount of information that's referenced. Open both of the Architectural2 and Furniture sample files in the Clipping Xrefs subfolder, within the Chapter 14 folder. Let's say that the furniture designer has finalized the design of the furniture here in the living room. But they're not ready to release their design for the furniture in the dining room and the patio. They'll have to make a note to their colleague who's working on the architecture. And say, if you'd be so kind to just clip the xref that I've given you, so that you can view the living room furniture, but don't bother referencing anything else, because I haven't worked on that yet. The architectural designer would say, okay, I'll use the Clip command, and select the xref that you've given me, namely this furniture here. I'll create a new boundary, and in this case a rectangular boundary would suffice. And I'll just go ahead and draw in a rectangle around the…
