Assigning and testing visibility states in a dynamic block

- Now that we have the geometry for our Callout, we need to control the visibility of the different arrow heads, in order to get, essentially, triple duty out of this symbol. We can use it to represent details, elevations, and sections, simply by toggling the arrow heads. To do this, we need to convert this geometry into a block, first. Select everything, and type B, enter, and give this block the name, Callout. The base point should be the center of the circle. Convert this to a block, and open in the Block Editor. Go to the Parameters tab of the Block Offering palettes, and choose Visibility. Specify the parameter location right about here, off to the right side. There's an exclamation point on this parameter, indicating that some more action is needed before it will actually work. You can control the visibility state with these parameters up here. First thing you generally do, is open up this dialogue box. And right now, we have just the default state, zero. Let's rename that. And…
