Altering object display order

It's possible to control the order in which AutoCAD draws objects. In this way you can determine whether an object is obscured by another, or is displayed on top of it. Open the stacking order sample file from the chapter 11 folder. Here we have a couple of hatch patterns. The blue one appears to be on top of the red one. But these two objects are drawn on the flat x, y plane. There's no movement in the z axis here, so it's not a three-dimensional phenomenon. What I would like to do though is to get AutoCAD to display the red hatch pattern on top of the blue one. I can do that with a Draw Order command. The alias is dr. Now it says Select Objects. I'll select this red hatch pattern and press Enter. Now I have a choice about how I want to order what gets drawn above or below another. So, this is really a sequential order in time, but you can think of it as a spatial order, above and below. So here I'm going to say I want the red object to appear above the blue object.
