Adding fields to tables
In this video, we will start to fill in the table with information from the drawing. Open up Architectural6 in the Chapter 13 folder, and then double click on this cell right here for room number. What we want is the first room in the drawing, which happens to be the entry, Room 100. Instead of typing in 100 manually, we're going to establish a data link between this cell and the block down here that has this value. To establish that, we will use something called a Field, and you can see that right here, Field. Click this button, to open up this dialogue box. Select objects from this category and object here as well. Then click this button, then click on the room tag. It says it's a block reference and it has all these properties we can use. I'm interested in the room number. It says right here it's 100. I'll just click OK. That value appears in the table. The gray border around it won't print. So you don't have to worry about that, it will just have the text information. Let's go to…
