Join Shaun Bryant for an in-depth discussion in this video Updating title blocks, part of AutoCAD Electrical Essential Training.
- [Instructor] I promised you in previous videos…that we'd have a look at the AutoCAD Electrical…title blocks in AutoCAD Electrical itself.…So here we are, we're in the section…where we're going to look at now…AutoCAD Electrical title blocks, now again,…these are linked to your project,…and linked to the database in AutoCAD Electrical.…And what we're going to do,…is work with the trusty WD demo project, as usual.…So if you go to your lynda.com exercise files,…you can download a whole new demo folder…for the WD demo project, and load up the WD demo.wdp file,…and make WD demo the current project in the project manager.…
Now I've already opened up the WD demo project,…you can see it live here in the project manager.…Just going to click on the little plus sign there,…and expand it out,…I'm going to go into the schematics subfolder,…and expand that one,…and I'm going to double-click on demo 02.dwg.…Now that's just my drawing of choice,…that I'm using for this particular exercise.…Now, I'm just going to double-click on the wheel there,…

3/29/2018Shaun Bryant demos the user interface and leads you step-by-step through the process of creating precise, measured electrical drawings and schematics. Learn how to design wiring diagrams, insert components and terminals, use PLC symbols in ladder diagrams, perform point-to-point wiring, create custom symbols, add annotations like title blocks to drawings, and run reports. In the final chapters, Shaun shows how to set up AutoCAD Electrical to your liking by adjusting settings and customizing the built-in templates, and demonstrates how to reuse, copy, export, and verify drawings. Plus, learn about improvements in the 2018 version of the software, such as 4K high-res and DWG support.
