In this video, author Shaun Bryant explains how to place a full-units PLC module accurately in an electrical drawing.
- [Instructor] We're staying in our demo10.dwg file,…and as you can see,…we've got our nicely placed full units PLC module…sitting there in the drawing two, and that's the one…that we had in the last video, I left it there…in the drawing.…Now what about placing your full units PLC module?…It's not like a parametric one where you can go in…and select a rung of a ladder for example.…What you would normally do with full units PLC modules…is place them first and then place the wiring around them,…that's normally the way you would do it.…
The opposite process to say a parametric PLC module.…So what happens if I want to place this exactly…in my AutoCAD Electrical drawing?…Well the benefit I've got is I can trace it like a normal…block, if I select it and then move away and right click…I should get that righthand shortcut menu, but I don't.…I get the regular AutoCAD Electrical edit menu and as you…can see there I can edit the component but I can also…move the component.…So let's just hit Escape a couple of times to lose…
