In this video, author Shaun Bryant explains how full-units PLC manufacturer choice is import in the Icon menu in electrical drawings.
- [Instructor] Once again, we're in our demo10.dwg file…and we're in our WDDEMO project, obviously.…We're going to look again now at manufacturers,…but this time for full units PLC modules.…Again, you need to make sure…that your manufacturers information is loaded into…AutoCAD Electrical when you install the software.…Now, you can select everything, all manufacturers.…Tick that select all box if you want to.…But make sure that you've got enough space…either on your hard drive or your server drive…for all of that information,…because full units PLC modules are all DWG files,…and they've all got attributes…and they're all blocks…and they all take up space,…so just be aware of that one for space purposes…more than anything else.…
So as I said, we're in demo10.dwg.…We're going to go to the Schematic tab on the ribbon…into the Insert Components panel,…click on the fly-out…and select Insert PLC Full Unit.…Now we're talking about selecting manufacturers.…You can see I've only got two in the fixed units section…of the menu there.…
