The AutoCAD Electrical PLC I/O utility

- [Instructor] We're starting another chapter now in our course, and what we're going to be looking at is parametric PLC modules again, but this time generating them from a spreadsheet that we might have had created by somebody to allow us to create these parametric PLC modules, almost like a customized PLC module, if you get my drift. AutoCAD Electrical gives us a fantastic utility called the PLC Input/Output Utility, and it allows you to import data from a spreadsheet and it will generate PLCs on the screen in your drawings in front of you. It's in the Import/Export Data tab on the ribbon, and it's in the Import panel, and there, the PLC Input/Output, or I/O Utility. You can see it there like so. And what it allows you to do is take data from a spreadsheet and quite literally create parametric PLCs right in front of your eyes in AutoCAD Electrical.
