Volume surfaces

- [Instructor] If you have two or more surfaces in a drawing you can create a volume surface. A volume surface is able to gather information, analyze the volume, or difference between one base surface and another comparison surface. Let's go ahead and create one in this drawing. Let's open up our drawing first, using the quick access toolbar, 04_06_VolumeSurface. And the drawing looks blank but if we look in our tool space under prospector and expand out surfaces, you see there's actually two surfaces in here. Both surfaces have a style set to not display in the graphical space. And so we see the power of having the prospector here to kind of let us see that. We're going to create a new surface, and I'm going to come up here and choose to create a surface from the home ribbon create ground data, and panel, and choose create surface. We usually go straight to naming the surface, but notice there are different types of surfaces. The type we're going to choose is TIN volume. So it's…
