Using parcels

- [Man] We can use lines, curves, and poly lines to display our boundary, but we can get a little bit more out of them if we turn them into parcels, so let's look at the process of taking our poly line and turning it into a parcel. If I go to the home tab, create design panel, and choose parcel, and then create parcel from objects, it'll prompt us to select the lines, arcs, or poly lines, that we want to convert, so I'll choose this poly line, and then enter to accept the selection, and now we get our create parcels dialog. Now, parcels look just like lines and poly lines, but they're unique in that they interact together, so that if they form a subdivision, they're going to give us a new label that we can then use to get area information, or display parcel names, tax IDs, anything we come up with. So here, the only thing we need to be concerned about, the Site, is that if we have those lines all located in the same site, that they will interact and create subdivisions. For our Parcel…
