Use the transparent commands

- [Instructor] The options that we saw under the line and curves menus, were all utilizing transparent commands. So if you're inside of any command in Civil 3D, and you want to reference another object or point, you can do that by utilizing one of the transparent tools which, by default, shows up on the right side in this toolbar. So you'll see the correlations here, draw by angle and distance. So if we look back, here we notice at the bottom of the roll-over help, you'll see the line command and then a comma 'AD. The 'AD is the transparent command that's being called here. So again, if we look back over at our toolbar, you'll see that same 'AD. Continuing on, other transparent commands that reference other objects that weren't available in the line and curve menu, or if we want to reference a profile station from an alignment in plan view. So in this case we would select the alignment, and then we would have a red glif show up, to show where we're selecting the station on that plan…
