- [Instructor] You can't create a pressure network in Civil 3D without a parts list. So let's learn a little bit about the purpose and function of the parts list. A parts list is a finite list of components that you can use to build a pressure network system. And you can find them on the Settings tab under Pressure Network in the Parts List folder. I'm going to right click and edit this Water Parts List that you'll find here. And you'll see that I have a collection of pipe sizes, fitting, types, and sizes, as well as apertinence types and sizes. So why not just use every possible pipe fitting and apertinence that's available in this software? Well the answer to that is there are many many many hundreds if not thousands of available parts, fittings, and apertinences if you combine them all together. For different material types, different fittings, styles, lots and lots to pick from. Plus it's customizable, so you can even make your own special parts for specific purposes. So, if you…
