Understanding alignment labels

- [Instructor] As with all Civil 3D objects the objects, themselves, are only part of the story and we must use labels to tell the rest of the story. Alignments are a fairy complex object type and they've got several labeling options. So let's talk about what they are and how they work. A good way to break down the types of labels is to look at the Add Labels menu under Alignment. You'll see that we start here, with Add Alignment Labels. That brings up the Alignment Label dialog box where we can pick all the different types. But I don't want to start there. I want to start here, Add Edit Station Labels. So we'll talk about station labels first, and you'll see that they're also called other things in Civil 3D such as Label sets or Label groups. But what station labels are is a series of pre-set labels that are going to be applied whenever certain things exist in an alignment. So with this particular label set, it's going to label…
