- In the past few videos, we learned all about creating profiles. Now let's talk about the all important Profile View, which makes it possible to see profiles in drawing. So what is a Profile View? If you look at what I have in this drawing in front of me, you'll see the red and the blue line here, which are the profiles, everything else you currently see is the Profile View, the gray grid lines, the vertical lines, representing key points of geometry, the labels around the edges for the axes, the title label for the Profile View, all of this is part of the Profile View object. And kind of demonstrate the relationship between the Profile View and the profiles, I'm going to move the Profile View, I'll just launch the AutoCAD move command, select the Profile View and press enter and pick two points on the screen.
