Set the pressure part catalog location
- [Instructor] Civil 3D gets the information it needs to populate a parts list from something called a catalog. Let's take a look at how to set up Civil 3D to use a specific catalog. Again, we'll start on the Modify tab. We'll expand the design panel and select Pressure Pipe Network. And this time we'll drop down the Parts List menu and select Set Pressure Network Catalog. The first choice we need to make is the catalog folder. You can see that Civil 3D is currently pointed to the default location for the catalog folder on my C drive or on my hard drive. In an office environment, you're probably going to point to a drive letter or a network location where the company enterprise catalogs are stored. Once you've chosen the location of the catalog folder, then it's time to actually pick a catalog database file from within that folder.
