Sections and section views

- [Instructor] To create sections and section views, we first must create sample lines. On the home tab on the profiles and section views panel, we click sample lines. Choose our alignment. And then we're going to choose what data sources to sample. Our first data source is the existing ground. So I'm going to choose a style that represents existing ground. Next is the corridor itself. That will be projected onto these section views. And I will turn off the finished ground, as that will overlap the roadway corridor. I'll click okay. And the way we create these sections is either manually by clicking each station. Or we can choose by a range of stations. So we will have a sample at every 50 feet based on the default settings. And our swath width will be a hundred feet wide total. I'll click okay. And you'll see our sample lines created in blue. So now we can add manual stations, or we can click escape to end this. Each sample line gets a label based on the station it was sampled from…
