Performing a quantity takeoff

- [Narrator] Once you have pay items assigned to your pressure network, how do you figure out the actual quantities? Let's see how this is done. Now just to review, we've gone into QTO Manager, and I'll find that on the Analyze tab, QTO Manager, and we've loaded up a Pay Item file and a Categorization file, and that's what has populated the QTO Manager with all of this information. Specifically, the incidental construction section where we've gone into water systems and assigned some of these water sizes, these line items, to parts in the parts list. So if I go to the Settings tab, right-click Water-Residential, we'll see that my 6-inch and 8-inch PVC have a Pay Item assigned to them. I've also gone in and created some pipes, some 6-inch PVC pipes, and you can see them drawn and labeled here. So how do I calculate how many linear feet of 6-inch PVC that I have? All I need to do now is on the Analyze tab, click the Takeoff button, from here I can do a Summary or a Detailed report type.…
