Labeling parcels: Segment labels

- [Instructor] Now that we've created and edited our parcels, let's go ahead and look at how we can label our parcels. We've already seen the area labels show up automatically when a parcel is created, but let's label the parcel segments in this exercise. We're going to open up our exercise file, 05_05_LabelParcelSegments. We see all of the parcels already laid out as well as the area labels in place. Now, we do have this parcel here for the different right of ways, and any time there's a parcel area label that we don't want to see, we can go ahead and select it, and under the Parcel Properties in the contextual ribbon, we can turn it off. Under the Composition tab of our Parcel Properties, we can simply say we don't want to see an area label. And so although this parcel still exists, it works to help us create a subdivision without having the area label for the right of way. Let's go ahead and work with labeling our parcel segments.
