- [Instructor] Now let's take a look at our figure prefix databases. In this movie, we're going to use a figure prefix database that I've already set up that has much more of the settings pre-applied for you. We're going to take a look at it and then I'm going to show you how to install that into your Civil 3D. Back on the tools space, on the survey tab, if I expand all the figure prefix databases, you'll see that in yours, you only have the sample figure prefix database, and that's because the files needed to work with this haven't been installed to your machine. So for now just follow along with me here. If I right-click on the LinkedIn figure prefix database, and go to manage figure prefix database, we'll take a closer look at how Civil 3D is going to take the points from the point file and automatically create figures from that, or line work, we could say. Just like in description key sets, we're going to have Civil 3D pick certain points based on what the description key is. So…
