Editing graphically in profile view
- [Instructor] We've learned how to edit pressure networks in Plan View, but what about Profile View? Let's look at how to do that graphically. When you're dealing with editing pressure networks graphically, there are a few different things you need to look at. Let's look at fittings first. And the reason I want to go there first is because if you want to make vertical edits, if you want to bump around the elevations and slopes of the pipes, you want to look at editing the fittings first because they will maintain connectivity between themselves and the pipes. They're really easy to edit. There's only one grip to worry about, it's this diamond-shaped grip. And it only allows you to move the fitting up and down. So you can see what's happening there as I'm moving the fitting up and down the pipes are staying connected and bending with the fitting. Of course you want to be careful that you don't exceed any allowable deflection that the fitting can actually rotate to match the change…
