- In the last video you were introduced to the special grips found on civil 3D Alignments. Let's explore these different grips, and learn about what each one does. To demonstrate this I'm just going to click, The Jordan court alignment. And we've got lots of different grips, to work with here that we can study. Let's begin down at this curve here. You can see we've got a number of different grips to look at. This one here the operate triangle, is located at the PI, it's the location were the two tangents intersect. So it's this tangent and this tangent, intersecting to form the point of intersection or PI. When I click that and move it around, it actually changes the location of the PI itself. Notice how the curve responds in any adjacent geometry, that needs to adjust itself will do so.
