- [Instructor] Now let's use our grading tools to grade this out like a pond. We'll go to the Home tab, Create Design Grading. The first thing we'll do is create a Grading Group. Well call this: Pond, And we'll have it automatically create a surface with one and five foot contours. Okay. Again, just verify your settings for the new surface that we're creating. It's going to be called: Pond. Contours one and five for the style. Now, next step under Grading we can create a Grading Infill. So, this is going to fill in that area that's being graded. We can use the standard style and click in the middle of that feature line. Escape to end. To make changes to your grading group you'll want to select the diamond not the line work. Our next step is to now grade this out into day-lighted to existing ground. Under Grading, Grading Creation Tools we will choose to grade the surface and now we'll choose to Create Grading.
