Description key sets
- [Instructor] To set up a description key set, we'll need to locate the settings tab on our tool space. Second tab down, we'll find the point. Under that, we see description key sets. We can have multiple key sets for different types of drawings, but we're going to edit the default civil 3D description key set. Going to do here, is define the code that's going to tell, in this case this point how to display. Right now, this point is displaying based on the point group it belongs to with the standard red X, the point number, elevation and description. So we'll need to create another entry in our key set that's going to assign a certain style to that point. If I right click on that civil 3D key set and go to edit keys, the window will pop up where we can enter this information. Here, if I right click on any of the existing codes, I'll get a context menu where I can create a new one or copy an existing one if I need to make a slight adjustment to it.
