Creating an alignment from a pressure network

- [Instructor] Some Pressure Networks do not reference a road alignment, and will need their own alignment for establishing stations and creating a profile. In this video, you'll learn about a special tool for doing just that. For this video we want to create a profile of the water line extending back, and servicing the building. Now, it doesn't make a lot of sense to reference this alignment, because it's perpendicular to it. And it also doesn't make a lot of sense to reference the existing road alignment, because it sits so far back away from it. So the answer here is to create an alignment based on this Pressure Network, one that belongs solely to it. So to do that, it's actually pretty easy. There's a specialized tool for it, as I mentioned. I'm going to begin by clicking just part of the Pressure Network, enough to give me the specialized ribbon, and access to the Alignment From Network tool. So you can see where this is going.
