Create view frames

- [Instructor] We create view frames in Civil 3D to automate the process of plan production. Let's look at those steps now. From the Output tab, we see the Plan Production panel and Create View Frames. We'll choose the alignment that we want to base our view frames on and the range of stations. We'll do the entire alignment here. Next, we can choose to do plan and profile sheets, just plan, or just profiles. For this exercise, we'll be creating plan and profile sheets. We'll go ahead and choose to create the view frames from here. And you'll see that represented by the blue frames. We have four sheets. You'll see the other thing that was created are your match lines. Using the view frames will allow us to automate the sheet numbering process. Once we create sheets from these view frames, those pound signs will be populated by the sheet number.
