Create vertical curves
In the last few videos, we looked at a few different ways to make modifications to your profile. Let's take a look now at adding vertical curves. I want to first show you the most common way to add a vertical curve, and it's actually kind of buried in the command set. So to get started I'll click the profile and then click geometry editor on the ribbon. The most common way to add a vertical curve is to go to more free vertical curves, and choose this one here free vertical parabola, PVI based. So I'll click on that. I'll click the PVI. And then on the command line it's going to prompt me for the K value, length or a pass through point. I'll do this first by length. So I'll click length, and I'll type in a length of 300. That's going to place the curve there for me. Now, I also want to show you pass through points, so I'll undo that curve. We'll launch the same command, pick the PVI, but this time I'll click pass…
