Create and use label styles

- The next objective we'll look at, is Creating and Use Label Styles. In Civil 3D let's take a look at, a Contour label. On the settings tab or the tool space. Under surface, label styles, and contour. We're going to edit the existing major label style. So, we're going to double click that text. In here we see it, the tabs that are all look the same for all label styles. First being Information. Next General. Here you want to pay attention to is the layer that the label is going to be placed on. So here we can manipulate that to any layer that's on our drawing. When the label is placed, what is the orientation reference? So here we have three options, one would be the Object. So, if the object let's say is a line, then the label would follow the line. If the orientation reference is the View, it will rotate with your view and view port or model space. Or it will always be oriented to World Coordinate System.
