Create alignments

- [Instructor] Much like parcels, alignments can be created by either manually drawing the geometric data, or using a certain set of tools to automate this. Let's look at using the alignment creation tools to draw the center line based on a set of criteria. Under the home tab and alignment, we'll choose alignment creation tools. Here we can give the name. We can choose a type of center line. So, center line of road and offset curb return, rail or miscellaneous. These are just designations. They don't change the way the alignment works at all. This makes it very easy to organize your drawing if you have many alignments and alignment types. We can choose our starting station. We'll begin with zero. We can put it in a site or not. If we want these alignments to interact with parcels and to subdivide them, we can put them in the same site.
