Civil 3D settings hierarchy
to the tool space palette found in Civil 3D, and one of the four tabs within that tool space palette is the settings tab. So I've made the settings tab active, I've opened up another drawing in our exercise files called 02_05_Settings. Now the settings tab provides us not just settings, which we'll take a look at in a minute, you'll see not only do we have the style for the surface itself, but also the many different types of label styles that are associated or related to a surface. And within each type of style are the actual styles that are available. And you can imagine that takes some time to get set up beforehand. The styles, there's over 150 different types of styles, and then within each type, such as surface styles being a type, you'll notice how many different styles are set up ready to go.
