- [Eric] How do you become the best civil engineer or designer you can be? You learn how to use the best design software, Autodesk Civil 3D. Civil 3D is a feature-packed design product built on the ever familiar AutoCAD. It has tools that automate and enable nearly every aspect of civil engineering design. From road modeling to pipe design to grading, there are powerful tools for just about anything you can think of related to civil engineering or surveying. I'm going to teach you how to use most of the tools in Civil 3D, while together we methodically build a new residential development, based on an actual project near my home in Virginia. Along the way, you're going to pick up essential skills and understanding that'll prepare you to become an efficient and effective designer or engineer. I am Eric Chappell, and I've been working with technology in the architecture, engineering and construction fields for nearly 30 years. If you're ready to start working with fast and powerful tools to complete your civil engineering projects, please join me in my LinkedIn learning course that will take you through the essentials of AutoCAD Civil 3D.
