Annotate surfaces

- We have three options for annotating a surface; we can label a spot, a contour, or a slope. So lets take a look at the first one here. On the annotate tab we go to add labels; surface; add surface labels. This brings up our dialog box. The first we'll look at is slope. So we'll choose either one, or two points and it will report back a slope and a label. And how do we want the slope label displayed? We can choose a percent, rise over run, or run over rise, by default. And obviously you can make any type of custom label that you need to. So let's go with percent. And choose add, in the bottom left corner. And our first option is, do we want a 1 point, or a 2 point? So typically for our uses we'll want 2 points, so we can control exactly where that's being calculated. And lets get a rough slope on this road. So I am going to choose here and here. And we get a -5.7% slope. Clicking escape ends that. The next option is spot elevation. And again just like any time we are creating a point…
