Analyze surface display results

- [Instructor] To analyze surface display results, we'll first need to choose a style for this surface that represents some sort of analysis. By going to the Surface Properties, we'll first change the surface style to Elevation Banding 2D. Now, simply changing that is not enough. We also have to choose how we're going to analyze that information. So on the Analysis tab, we're going to choose Elevations, and we're going to choose our number of ranges, I'm going to set to 10, and then we're going to apply that here. We're going to run the analysis. If I explain this out, you'll see how it calculated that. So it's using whole numbers, and each range is assigned a color. So once we click OK, we'll see our analysis. And there it is broken out into the other elevations. From here, we'll need to make a legend so that we understand what those colors represent. By choosing the surface and then in the ribbon clicking Add Legend, we can choose Elevations, Dynamic. Because if the surface changes,…
