Adding a pipe network to a profile view
- [Instructor] So far we've been working with pipe networks in plan view and in 2D, so let's take a look at pipe networks in profile view. So in this exercise, let's go ahead and open up our drawing file 10_04_PipeProfile. To edit in profile view, we have to actually show our pipe network in profile view. Now, a lot of times we're going to lean toward in certain situations we may feel more comfortable, or the jurisdiction may require to show that pipe network in a profile view associated with an alignment, such as a roadway. But when we're in design, we probably need a profile view that specifically follows that pipe network, even if we don't use that in our plan deliverable, and plan production. Of course, to create a profile view we need an alignment, so let's create an alignment. Now, we can manually create an alignment that follows the pipe network, but let's see if there's a function here, if I select the structure and the contextual ribbon, it says alignment from network.
