The ribbon

- [Instructor] We're staying in our Floor Plan.dwg file, and we're not really going to do much with the actual drawing itself. The reason I've got a file open is it allows all the functionality of the software to work, things like the Application menu, things like the ribbon that we're going to look at now in more detail. Now, the ribbon is a standard piece of functionality in all AutoDesk products. All of the AutoCADs, the regular AutoCAD and all of the different flavors of AutoCAD have this ribbon interface by default, at the top of the screen there. So, the ribbon in AutoCAD Architecture, you've got different tabs, you've got the Home tab, the Insert tab, the Annotate tab, the Render tab, the View tab, the Manage tab and the BIM 360 tab. The BIM 360 tab allows you to link two cloud-based apps that work with building information modeling, hence the term BIM.
