The drawing area
- [Instructor] We're staying in our good, old Floor Plan.dwg file, and what we're going to look at now is the actual drawing area, where we work when we're designing in AutoCAD Architecture. It's that great big space where you can see the floor plan drawing, where you can see the ViewCube, where you can see the Tool Palettes, where you can see the little view panel here. As I move my crosshairs around, you'll notice that the coordinates change down on the Status Bar. That's basically letting me know that my coordinates are changing as I move that pointer around in the space that is known as model space, which is, in essence, my drawing area. Now, if I'm going to draw something in my drawing area, what I would do is utilize some of the other user interface elements, like the Ribbon, the Palettes, the ViewCube, and so on.
