- Our last set of primary adjustments are really designed to enhance the image, adding an aesthetic quality that people often like. That's glow and vignette. Using these are both optional. Some people use them a lot, some people rarely use them. Let me show you what they can do, though. Let's start with the glow category. I'm going to take this all the way up for a moment so you see it quite strong, and you'll notice that what it does is latches onto the bright areas. Now, in this case it's bringing some of those clouds back out. In here it was starting to look fake, really dark edges on clouds that shouldn't be there. So, a little bit of a glow starts to lighten those clouds up and makes the light look like it's coming from behind the mountain. Now, you can smooth that out with additional changes here, and let's go with a high value for a moment, and you'll see that as you play with smoothness it can really change how this is applied, from very aggressive and not blended to extremely…
