Join Scott Hirsch for an in-depth discussion in this video What you should know before watching this course, part of Building a Commercial Soundtrack in Audition.
In this course we'll be using Adobe Audition CS6 and we'll be looking at a few features that are specific to CS6. But many of the techniques we'll cover in this course are also available for earlier versions of Audition. While we build our commercial soundtrack in Adobe Audition, I want you to be aware that most if not all the techniques we explore are possible in really any professional digital audio work station or DAW today, including Logic Pro and Pro Tools. Some of the quick keys, processing tools and naming conventions might be a little different.
But everything we do in this course is possible and available no matter what DAW you're using. With that in mind, I focused on some of the most common techniques of building a soundtrack in the fast paced world of advertising.
- Setting up your Audition template
- Importing audio elements
- Working with voice-over, music, and sound effects
- Mixing with automation
- Mastering for final output
