Takes an in-depth look at the new and enhanced features in Audition CS6.
- Hello, and welcome to this Audition CS6: New Features course. I'm Maxim Jago. I'm an Adobe master trainer, filmmaker and author. I created the Adobe Audition CS5.5 learn-by-video course, and in this course I'll be showing you what's happened in the dramatic development from Audition CS5.5 to Audition CS6. Adobe have achieved a great deal with this release. As well as improving playback performance even further, and expanding Audition's core functionality, there are some impressive new special effects and controls.
Latch, touch, and write modes are back, allowing you to record audio level envelopes on the fly, and there are innumerable user interface improvements to make your audio-creation workflows that much smoother. Audition CS6 has automatic and manual pitch correction, and includes a new tonal spectral display. There's a new automatic speech alignment feature that helps you replace dialogue with perfect lip-sync, and support for hardware controllers so you can use a physical mixing desk to control the virtual mixer.
All in all, it's a tremendous new release. In this course, you'll learn about the new features and how to integrate them into your post-production sound workflow. This course is designed to get you up to speed as quickly as possible, so if you already use an earlier version, you're in the right place. I hope you enjoy our time together. Now let's get started.
