Join Maxim Jago for an in-depth discussion in this video Using the exercise files, part of EPK Editing Workflows 04: Audio Cleanup and Special Effects.
If you are a premium member of lynda.com, you have access to the exercise files used throughout this title. And when you download them, this is what you get. You get a folder called exercise files. In this folder, you're going to discover a number of separate chapter folders and a main media folder. Now, this course is part of a series where we are creating a video for an EPK, and at this stage in the series, we have already produced our finished edited sequence, and now we're going to work on the audio.
So, if we look on our chapter one folder, you're going to find a number of existing Premiere Pro projects, and some Adobe Audition sessions, because that's what we're going to move into working on. Just take a look at the top of my screen as I'm working and you'll see which one of these I am using. Now we are going to work right away through these chapters, and get to different project files as we do. And in the Media folder, you'll see that we've got some old Art Effects projects used in our sequence.
We've got an Audition Session Media folder, and that contains a number of clips taken from the sequence in Premiere Pro. This is a process I'm going to be going through during this course. And you can generate your own copy of these files if you want to, rather than using the ones I've supplied. We have a number of video clips used in the sequence. We’ve also got a spare folder here, to send things into from audition, a few graphics that were taken from an earlier stage in the course, interview media, looks created in a Adobe SpeedGrade, the original music because this is an EPK about a music video, and the music video itself.
All of these items are already usually incorporated into the project files as I get to them. So all you need to do is follow along and make use of these assets in your own learning process. If you are a monthly member or annual member of lynda.com, then you don't have access to the exercise files but you can follow along from scratch with your own assets and it should make very good sense as we go through each of the steps. Let's get started.
