Repairing clipped audio

- [Instructor] Audio clipping usually happens when your recording levels were set too high. And, you can visually identify clipped audio by flat wave forms. This will create distortion or static, like with this interview here from our exercise files. - [Video Narator] Hiring military veterans is a great business decision. - [Instructor] So, the way to fix this is to use the DeClipper, which we can get to by selecting Effects, Diagnostics, DeClipper. The DeClipper effect is a little different from other effects, in that it doesn't open up an effects window as you'd expect, it actually takes you over to this panel called Diagnostics. And, it's this panel I'll use to analyze my audio, and then repair it. So, we have some presets we can choose from here, I think I'll go with the default as a starting point. And, then I'll click scan to find out how many clipped peaks it's found. And, down the bottom here, I can see that 167 problems have been detected. And, if I click any of these, it…
