Paul Murphy shows how to record audion in the Waveform Editor in Adobe Audition.
- [Paul] In Audition you have the choice of…recording in either of the editor modes.…If all you wanted to do was to record to a single file,…then you'd choose the waveform editor,…but if you wanted to record audio for a multi-track session…and then mix it with other files,…I'd recommend doing this in the multi-track editor.…In this video, we'll focus on the waveform editor,…and then we'll cover the multi-track editor…in the next video.…Before I start recording, I need a file to record to.…So, I'll go up to my files panel,…and I'll select the new file button…and choose new audio file.…
I'll name this voiceover,…and I'll keep the sample rate at 48,000 Hertz…because we'll use this in our video.…I'll keep the channels as mono,…because I'm only recording with one microphone,…and I'll keep the bit depth at 32 bit float,…and click okay.…Before you begin recording,…it's good practice to test the level of your microphone,…and you can actually do that with the…levels meter down here,…I'm just going to right click this panel,…
