Previewing effects (Waveform Editor)

- [Instructor] When working with effects in the waveform editor, there's a really useful way to view the resulting waveform before it's been applied using the preview editor. You can use it regardless of whether you're adding effects with the effects menu or the effects rack. Although, it's with the effects rack that I find it's the most helpful because there I'll be stacking effects on top of each other and getting no feedback on how they've changed the waveform until the end when I click apply. So, if I go over to my effects rack here, and in the first slot I'd like to add an amplify effects, I'll click this flyout, go to amplitude and compression, and choose amplify, and I'll set this to something like six decibels louder and you can see that effect hasn't changed my waveform at all.
