Matching loudness between clips

- [Narrator] When you combine multiple audio files together in a multi-track session one of the first hurdles is getting them to sound like they were all recorded at the same level. And with this session here, I have a sequence of different interviews, with people speaking at different levels, recorded at different levels. So it's no surprise that I'm going to have to do some work to make it sound like they all have the same loudness. Now when it comes to mixing audio levels, I like to think of it as two different stages. The first is adjusting the clip gain, which is the overall level of a clip. And the next is adjusting the volume, which I reserve more for fine tuning. You can view every clip's gain control by selecting the clip and then going over to your properties panel. And if you can't see your properties panel, just go up to your window menu, and make sure you have properties checked.
